Is it possible to over-charge the battery?

1. No – Every machine is designed to detect a full battery. Once the optimum charge has been achieved the current automatically converts to a slow trickle charge

Machine does not charge

1. Ensure the power cable is plugged into the machine
2. Check that the mains power switch is in the on position

Machine counts very slowly

1. Ensure the machine is placed on flat, stable and solid surface
2. Ensure the machine is not directly under any air-conditioning vents

Machine only accepts 25-30 notes: TOO MANY NOTES message

1. This is a feature of the machine. In order for the machine to provide 100% count accuracy, it is necessary to restrict the number of notes the machine counts per slice applied
2. Remove some notes until message disappears – reapply notes in smaller slices

Machine miscounts

1. Ensure the machine is placed on firm, even surface. It is recommended that you do not use appliances
2. Ensure that the correct denomination is placed on the hod
3. Check calibrated weights of the scoop or till cup – follow calibration instructions

Does the machine need regular recalibration like other weighing equipment?

1. No – all Cashmaster machines are pre-calibrated to the specific geographical area they are to be used. Recalibration is seldom required. In addition, each machine has an inbuilt capacity to continuously track, learn and database deviances in local weights (coins and notes)

Does the machine charge faster if switched off?

1. No – the charge current remains at a constant state, regardless of whether the machine is on, off or in use

How much printing can be done on one full charge?

1. It is recommended that printing should be carried out with the machine plugged into the AC supply. On a full charge your CP1 printer will typically print 20 till counts

How do I clear sub totals?

1. Select the domination to be cleared by using the arrow keys, then press the CE key

How do I clear grand totals?

1. Press the C key twice

What is the maximum weight the machine can weigh?

1. Approximately 800grams

1. Ensure printer is connected to machine
2. Ensure printer is loaded with paper
3. Ensure that the lever is placed down

Machine does not switch on

1. Ensure the power cable is plugged into the machine
2. Check that the mains power switch is in the on position

Machine does not switch off

1. Plug the power cable into the machine and hold the machines power button down for 3-6 seconds

Is it possible to use other printer types?

1. Yes – the Citizen CIT thermal printer can be used, in addition to standard desktop printers (requires pc protocol)

How do I clear sub totals?

1. Select the desired denomination and hold down + key until the value returns to zero

How do I clear grand totals?

1. Hold down the + key until the total is displayed. Press the + key twice again to confirm and clear

How do I switch currencies?

1. Press the both arrow keys simultaneously to scroll through multicurrency options, stopping at the desired currency

How do I access/leave grams mode?

1. Press simultaneously the money key and the arrow down key

How do I update the firmware?

1. Ensure that the machine is turned off
2. Remove the battery pack and insert the SD card
3. Connect the machine to the power adapter, the machine will automatically turn on
5. Press and hold down the on/off key for approximately 10 seconds
6. The serial number will be displayed
7. Press the arrow keys simultaneously and the update will commence – please allow up to 2 minutes
8. Remove the SD card
9. Remove the power adapter
10. Replace the battery and cover

SUSPECT BAG / ROLL message displayed

1. Bag or roll applied has a suspect weight – select the correct denomination by using the arrow keys

PRESS ZERO KEY message displayed

1. The scale is not zeroed. Push the on/off key once to return the scale to zero

How can I view my subtotals without a printer?

1. Choose your denomination or press the + key at any time
2. Then use the up and down arrows to view the desired denomination
3. The machine will automatically exit this mode after a few seconds

How do I set the float?

1. Press the F & Note up key simultaneously.

Can I activate/change my float value at the end or half way through a count?

1. Yes, at any time, simply press the F & Note up key simultaneously.

How do I transmit data to a PC?

1. Ensure the machine is correctly attached to the PC with the cable provided.
2. Hold down the F key and then press the printer key – this sends a copy of the data to the PC

1. Bundle applied has a suspect weight. Split bundle and count notes in loose notes mode

1. Empty hod and restart count ensuring that the machine is placed on a firm, even surface away from any draughts

2. Once in count mode edit your data and the press the new till key

Can I view subtotals without storing till data?

1. Yes. Simply press the + key, then select the denomination required using the up and down arrows
