There are a number of advantages to counting cash by weight in comparison to counting by hand or even friction based cash counting machines (coin counters and note counters). To count the average till by hand would normally take around 6 minutes. Not only can this be a slow process but there is also a greater chance of errors being made by the operator. A load cell underneath the hod measures the exact weight of the load, providing an accurate value for the sum placed on the machine. How accurate are Cashmaster machines?
Cashmaster machines employ five independent techniques to ensure absolute accuracy when counting currency. The software was developed using data concerning the weights of 40 million used bills. A computer model of these bills was created to simulate billions of bills being counted on the machine. The result, after an extensive development exercise, allows Cashmaster to give a 100% assurance that, when employed correctly, their machines remain 100% accurate, even when bills are heavily worn or taped.
How long will the machine last?
All Cashmaster machines have no moving parts and will provide a long trouble free life well in excess of 35 million weighing cycles, typically equating to between 5 and 10 years.
